Minneapolis Park Corps: Natural Resources Placement

This internship-style entry-level position is for people 18-24 years old. We are hiring for seven different roles across the MPRB, and you are welcome to apply for as many positions as interest you. No previous experience is required. 

This posting is for our Natural Resources Placement.

Receive training in and assist with:

• Planting and maintaining native plant communities in MPRB Natural Areas
• Controlling invasive species and weed species using a variety of techniques and tools
• Providing care of Natural Areas using best management practices and integrated pest management strategies
• Providing assistance and support for volunteer programs and events
• Tasks pertaining to maintenance and restoration of MPRB Natural Areas
• Seasonal prescribed burning, following the direction of Wildfire Certified personnel
• Performing and fostering an environment of safe work practices and report safety issues promptly to appropriate staff
• Other maintenance duties as assigned

This position is based out of our Southside Operations Center at 3800 Bryant Ave S in Minneapolis.
