
Operations Manager (Contract-to-Hire | Remote | 35–40 hrs/week)
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager to oversee and support the daily operations of our growing Peer Recovery Coaching organization. This role will begin as a 4-week contract (35–40 hours per week), with the potential to transition into a long-term position based on performance and fit.
This is a remote, home-based position, though occasional on-site work may be required.
The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of management experience with a strong background in team leadership, HR, payroll, and operations. The role also includes responsibilities in marketing, outreach, and community engagement to help expand the program. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented leader who can maintain smooth day-to-day operations and step in as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage a team of clinicians, administrative staff, and billing personnel to ensure efficient daily operations
Handle HR functions, including hiring, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance
Supervise payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timely payments
Oversee medical billing and revenue cycle processes, ensuring proper documentation and claims submissions
Implement and refine policies and procedures to improve workflow and service delivery
Step in during staff shortages to ensure operational continuity
Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
Lead marketing and outreach initiatives to enhance program visibility and community engagement
Build relationships with community leaders and stakeholders to grow the program
Develop and execute outreach efforts to attract clients and referral sources
Foster collaboration, communication, and team productivity
Support strategic planning, financial oversight, and problem-solving efforts
Attend occasional on-site meetings, audits, or events as needed
Qualifications:
3–5 years of experience in operations, team management, HR, or related functions
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
Proven leadership in HR, payroll, and administrative oversight
Experience in marketing, outreach, and community engagement is a plus
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Working knowledge of HR practices and operational workflows
Proficiency in HR/payroll systems and productivity tools
Able to work independently in a remote setting while accommodating occasional on-site responsibilities
Schedule & Compensation:
35–40 hours per week (Monday–Friday), with limited weekend availability
Initial 4-week contract, with strong potential for long-term employment
