Paid Social Media Marketing Intern

We are looking to hire a Social Media Marketing Intern specifically for our internal marketing. Our client base generally consists of apparel brands, beauty brands, businesses within the equestrian (horse) industry, professional athletes, photographers, and videographers.
Our primary goals are to create highly engaging videos to showcase our portfolio work and value-based content. Our intern will video clips our designers take throughout the process of designing and logo and website to show “before and after” project transformations and highlight our design process.
We would also love our intern to work in person for “Content Days” and record and edit value-based videos to help us establish more authority and thought leadership in our industry. Videos may be recorded on an iPhone (no professional equipment required) and edited in CapCut.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Use provided video clips from our designers to create “before and after” videos from our design projects
- Use provided video clips to create portfolio videos that show the BTS of our design process for each project
- Record value-based content in person (using pre-planned topics our agency will provide) and edit videos for TikTok and Instagram
- Help us develop a content plan for posting videos and graphics on TikTok, Instagram and Pinterest
- Repurposing some video content to design graphics for Instagram and Pinterest
- Created “brand stories” for our portfolio content to help our audience understand and connect with the story behind each brand and Founder we work with
- Using ChatGPT or a keyword research tool to plan our Pinterest content using keyword-rich titles and descriptions for SEO (can train on this if necessary)
Desired Skills:
- Creating and editing high-impact and engaging videos for social media
- Editing videos in CapCut
- Designing in Canva (most of our social media graphic templates are Canva-based)
- Experience with or interested in learning the nuances of editing videos slightly differently for TikTok, Instagram and Pinterest
- A genuine interest in social media trends and understanding why and how some content performs better than others
About Our Farm & Fir Co.
Farm & Fir Co. is a design agency specializing in logo design, brand strategy, and website design for small businesses. As a team of creative horse girls, we started our agency primarily serving businesses in the equestrian industry. Now, we proudly work with service-based and e-commerce brands in a variety of industries across the globe.
About 60% of our clients are in the equestrian industry (equine service providers, Olympic-level professional riders, equestrian apparel brands, equine photographers, etc.). It would be a bonus if our intern is either a rider or has knowledge of the equestrian industry, however, it is not required.
Aside from the design work we do with our clients, I am incredibly passionate about developing the next generation of designers, female entrepreneurs, and helping them with their career or entrepreneurial goals.
Although I graduated from the Leon Hess Business School at Monmouth University, I started Farm & Fir Co. as a self-taught photographer and designer, learning everything I could about photography and the principles of design from YouTube, Podcasts, and good old-fashioned trial and error.
Within three years, I grew Farm & Fir Co. into a 6-figure side hustle with a small team of myself and a graphic designer and zero paid marketing. Now, I operate our agency full time and we help small business owners all over the world with their brand strategy, marketing strategy, logo design, and website design.
