We’re hiring a Customer Service Coordinator to be a front-line champion for customer satisfaction. In this role, you’ll manage inquiries, resolve issues, and support the entire order lifecycle with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. Your Role: Drive Satisfaction Through Service

Manage logistics communication and support with precision and professionalism.

  • Customer Communication: Respond to phone calls and emails quickly, accurately, and with a helpful tone
  • Order Lifecycle Support: Coordinate new orders and assist throughout shipment execution to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Issue Resolution: Research and resolve service issues and exceptions by investigating databases and updating stakeholders
  • Dispatch Support: Assist with move coordination including driver instructions, delivery confirmations, and customer follow-up
  • Proactive Relationship Management: Support new customer onboarding and work closely with Sales to meet evolving customer needs
  • Documentation & Records: Maintain accurate data in proprietary systems and document management tools
  • Process Improvement Input: Provide feedback and suggestions to enhance departmental operations and customer service efficiency

 

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Keep operations flowing and customer concerns handled with care.

  • Monitor KPIs and uphold department service standards
  • Trace shipments and update information across transportation systems (steamship lines, railroads, trucking vendors)
  • Escalate concerns when needed and follow through to resolution
  • Perform general administrative tasks including data entry, scanning, and document preparation
  • Maintain detailed logs and schedules, keeping everything running on time

 

What You Bring to the Team

Professional. Personable. Detail-oriented.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or college coursework preferred
  • Experience:
    • 2+ years in a customer service role, preferably in transportation, logistics, or import/export
    • Familiarity with domestic and international shipping processes is a plus
  • Skills & Tools:
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) – basic proficiency
    • Typing speed of 35 WPM and experience with ten-key data entry
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data entry
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong listener with a customer-first mindset
    • Able to manage priorities independently and thrive in team-based environments
    • Maintains discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information

  • Physical Demands: Includes computer work, document handling, sitting, light lifting (up to 20 lbs), and walking within the office

Starting pay will be determined by job-related factors including experience, education, and business needs and may be modified at any time.

Zone 3: Starting rate $19.00; up to $20.00 for highly qualified candidates
