Job Title: Part-Time Event, Marketing & Social Media Intern
Company: Nippon Kan Theatre (Kobe Park Events, LLC)
Location: Seattle, WA
Pay: $25/hour (1099 Contractor)
Hours: 8–16 hours per week (with potential to increase as business grows)

Are you a marketing student or aspiring event professional looking to gain real-world experience in the world of events? Nippon Kan Theatre, a historic and vibrant cultural venue in the heart of Seattle, is looking for a driven, quick-learning Event, Marketing & Social Media Intern to join our team!

Nippon Kan Theatre hosts a wide range of events—from film screenings and live performances to private parties and weddings. This is a unique opportunity to get your foot in the door and grow with a company that values creativity, initiative, and hustle. You’ll support both our events and marketing efforts while gaining hands-on experience alongside seasoned professionals.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist with some event coordination, setup, and breakdown (must be able to lift up to 40lbs)
  • Support marketing campaigns (social media, email, flyers, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the Sales Manager and provide general support as needed
  • Help with administrative tasks, research, and content creation
  • Shadow and learn from our Sales & Event Manager

Who You Are:

  • A student or early-career professional in marketing, communications, or event planning
  • Passionate about events and eager to gain hands-on experience
  • A quick learner who takes initiative and thrives in dynamic settings
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and enthusiastic to pitch in wherever needed
  • Physically able to lift up to 40lbs and be on your feet during event days
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Located in the Seattle area, able to commute, or planning to relocate
