Event Assistant

Our company lends its voice to causes that make our world a better place for everyone. We are proud to be on the front lines of raising awareness for our non-profit partners. We are hiring an Event Assistant to assist us with supporting our non-profit partners. We focus on cultivating an environment that encourages collaboration, motivating, coaching, and training every Event Team member on the entire event and campaign development process.


 

The Event Assistants should be outgoing and self-driven; they must know how to have fun and be comfortable engaging consumers in group and one-on-one settings. The Event Assistant position involves hands-on training with all the following; the creation and development of fundraising campaigns, the set up/displays/merchandise, the execution / presenting of our charity partners’ message to the community, and reporting back the results.


 

As the Event Assistant  - You Will:


 

  • Receive training from our Senior Fundraising Specialists to grasp the fundamentals of the role
  • Work closely with other Junior Fundraising Specialists to trade best practices
  • Attend fundraising events where you will speak with potential donors and explain the charity thoroughly they would be donating to
  • Be able to answer any questions from potential donors regarding our charitable partners and ensure that the utmost professionalism is held in these interactions
  • Participate in daily and weekly team meetings where goals will be discussed, set, and also contribute individual feedback to improve as a company
  • Help train newer Junior Fundraising Specialists once you have displayed mastery of the entry-level role


 

Requirements of the Event Assistant:


 

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred in any field related to Public Relations, Communications, or other related fields of study
  • Must have a passion for helping others and a love for working with the public
  • Must possess advanced communication skills and be able to adapt to speaking with various audiences
  • Must be a team player and bring a competitive spirit to help drive the team towards its goals
  • Must possess a hunger for more for oneself and a want to lead and help others
