We are now looking for a talented Data Engineer to help us harness the power of data and propel our team to new heights.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with our engineering and analytics teams to design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient data pipelines.
  • Utilize your expertise in data architecture and data warehousing to optimize our data infrastructure for speed, reliability, and performance.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of collected and processed data to assure completeness & quality.
  • Leverage cloud-based data tools, particularly AWS, to build and manage data solutions that enable real-time data insights.
  • Work closely with our data scientists, analysts, engineers, and software developers to understand data requirements and provide the necessary support to deliver actionable insights.
  • Implement data governance and security measures to ensure the integrity and reliability of our data assets.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in data engineering technologies and bring innovative solutions to enhance our data capabilities.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of data engineering, software development, data operations, automation, or data process improvement experience.
  • Proven experience supporting the design, building and deployment of complex and performant (dependable and scalable) software solutions in production.
  • A background in mechanical engineering, data acquisition, or automotive data analysis is a plus.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases, specifically Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with AWS tools and infrastructure, with an understanding of its various data services such as Amazon S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR, Athena is preferred
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, schema design, and data transformation techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to tackle complex data challenges.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and automated testing frameworks is a plus.
     

Logistics

  • The job location is in Huntersville, NC; full-time, on-site work is required.
  • Weekend work or on-call availability to support race events is required.
  • Limited travel to test or race events may be required.
