CFPG PR Assistant Intern

Reports To: CEO / Public Relations Lead
Commitment: Part-Time | Internship

About the Role:

Are you passionate about storytelling, digital media, and making a real impact? As a CFPG PR Assistant Intern, you will play a key role on our Public Relations team, helping to shape and amplify the voice of 2nd Chance Inc. across platforms. From Instagram to LinkedIn, you’ll be hands-on in media outreach, content creation, and strategic communications.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to build your PR portfolio while supporting a mission-driven organization. You’ll gain real-world experience in promoting products and services, engaging stakeholders, and managing public image—skills that are critical in today’s communications landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in developing and executing public relations strategies

Draft compelling sales and promotional copy for products and services

Monitor and report on media coverage and engagement metrics

Create digital content (videos, graphics, and more) for social platforms

Support event planning and outreach initiatives

Contribute to creating presentation decks and promotional materials

Participate in brainstorming sessions and PR planning meetings

Requirements:

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Familiarity with Instagram, LinkedIn, Canva, or video editing tools

Understanding of promotional strategies and content marketing

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Creativity in crafting engaging media and messaging

Strong sense of organization and attention to detail

Internship Details:

Remote position – work from anywhere

Bi-weekly team meetings – Fridays (flexible scheduling)

Weekly progress reports required

Opportunity for school credit or professional letter of recommendation
