Minimum Qualifications of Education and Experience
Expected starting salary is $35.37 to $47.22. Full salary range is $35.37 to $59.07.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in social work, public administration, planning, business administration, process engineering, program planning and evaluation, mathematics/statistics, public/community health, or related field and three (3) years of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions.
OR
Master’s degree from an accredited college in social work, public administration, planning, business administration, process engineering, program planning and evaluation, mathematics/statistics, public/community health, or related field and two (2) years of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions.
OR
A combination of education and experience equivalent to seven (7) years of experience in a similar position as listed in the work functions
Regular and reliable attendance is a necessary component of job/position. Individuals required to use County vehicles and equipment must have a valid driver's license and be free of any major traffic violations for the last three (3) years.
Desirable Qualifications:
Master’s degree from an accredited college in social work, public administration, planning, business administration, process engineering, program planning and evaluation, mathematics/statistics, public/community health, or related field.
Possession of certification in Lean, Six Sigma, PMP, performance improvement, communications or other related certifications.
Nature of Work
Under general supervision, performs analysis functions to support decision-making for the organization by working with teams, departments, or countywide programs, processes, and systems. Leads multiple, potentially large, and complex, projects in one or more areas of analysis work, including strategic and long-range planning, continuous quality improvement, program evaluation, policy analysis and recommendations, research and data collection, analysis, and management. As needed, provides internal and external group facilitation and community engagement to support or advance the work. Supports a diverse, respectful, and inclusive workplace.
Examples of Work
- Leads multiple, potentially large, and complex, projects including project scoping and planning. Communicates with impacted parties and delivers milestones and timely work products.
- Develops, implements, and recommends quantitative and qualitative tools to gather data and information. Analyzes and interprets data.
- Assesses needs and recommends and implements tools or solutions to support continuous improvement, including process improvement through Lean Six Sigma, related methodologies, dashboards, or other performance indicator methodologies.
- Analyzes and presents data effectively to assess impacts, gaps, errors, and trends. Identifies recommendations, solutions, and alternative methods to potential problems.
- Analyzes policies and procedures and implements improvements.
- Develops strategic and long-range plans to guide county operations and future direction, including organizational design, team effectiveness, and change management.
- Leads meetings, processes, and dialogue to encourage collaborative outcomes and relationships with internal county business, community partners, and community members.
- Leads and participates in team, department, and county events, training, and meetings to support continuous learning and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Mentors and supports colleagues working on collaborative projects.
- Performs other duties as required.
