The Rooted Door was launched as a 501c3 organization at the end of 2023 and we are in need of interns to support our mission and help us lay the foundation for the important work we are planning. Areas we need support for development and execution: Fundraising, Grant Research/ Outreach, Sponsorship, Partnerships, Artist Collaborations, Annual immersive event activations, and Podcast Development. I believe strongly in support of internship programs to foster opportunities for students and build strength in the organization. Being that we are at the foundational level for The Rooted Door, I think it would be an incredible experience for students to truly help develop and build the organization. The opportunity we want to offer students is to get involved in all aspects from strategy to execution and create an impactful organization that is making a difference in the community we love.

Internship Overview: We are seeking passionate and dedicated interns to join us in supporting our mission and actively contribute to the development and execution of various key areas. As an intern at The Rooted Door, you will have the unique opportunity to work closely with our team and play a vital role in building the organization from the ground up.
Areas of Support:
- Fundraising: Engage in fundraising initiatives to secure resources for our projects and programs.
- Grant Research/Outreach: Conduct research on potential grants, assist in the grant application process, and build relationships with grant providers.
- Sponsorship: Collaborate with our team to identify and secure sponsorships for events and initiatives.
- Partnerships: Explore and establish partnerships with like-minded organizations to amplify our impact.
- Artist Collaborations: Coordinate and facilitate collaborations with artists to infuse creativity into our initiatives.
- Annual Immersive Event Activations: Contribute to the planning and execution of our annual immersive events.
- Podcast Development Develop the foundation of an upcoming podcast, including audience research, content themes, format planning, guest outreach, and funding opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Strong passion for community development and social impact.
- Embody strong time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative.
- Flexible and open to taking on diverse responsibilities.
- Developing education in non for profit management + fundraising
- Self starter + passion to bring valuable contribution to projects
- Experience in event production/management.
- Experience in working in google docs, excel spreadsheets, building presentations in PPT/Canva
