JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our project management team in the asphalt construction industry. The ideal candidate will have some experience in project coordination and will play a vital role in supporting project managers to ensure successful project implementation from planning to completion.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Assist in the planning and implementation of asphalt construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and specifications, while occasionally providing support to the CEO and VP of Operations.
• Coordinate project activities, schedules, and resources, facilitating effective communication between team members and stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accessible.
• Track project milestones and deliverables, providing regular updates to project managers.
• Assist in preparing project budgets and forecasts, monitoring expenses, and reporting any variances.
• Participate in project meetings, documenting minutes and action items for follow-up.
• Assist in resolving project issues and conflicts, escalating when necessary to maintain project progress.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout project.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• A degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in project coordination or administrative support, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Basic understanding of construction processes and terminology, especially in asphalt construction.
