Commercial Property Manager - Level I

This position requires a person to handle the day-to-day management of commercial properties in Southern California from the corporate headquarters in Newport Beach, CA. 

 

Core Responsibilities include

Working in an open office environment

Fielding tenant inquiries and after hour calls

Fielding vendor calls/emergencies

Creating scope of work for RFP for recurring and non-recurring vendor services

Arranging repairs and maintenance at multiple properties in OC and IE

Preparing monthly tenant billing statements

Posting rent and cash receipts into the accounting system

Annual budget preparation and monthly monitoring for variances

Maintaining lease files 

Reviewing invoices and expenses for conformance with proposals and budgets

Coding operating invoices for data entry 

Maintaining rent rolls

Collecting rent

Site Inspections

Management support for on-site property managers

Directing general contractors and overseeing tenant improvements and major repairs

 

Requirements

Proven experience as a commercial property manager (3+ years)

Bookkeeping experience (3+ years) or educational equivalent

Strong reconciliation skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills 

Proficiency in using property management Sage software (fka Timberline)

Proficient in creating journal entries and accrual accounting methods

Degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, and/or Property Management a plus
