Brand Manager - New Living Translation Bible

Tyndale House Publishers is seeking an experienced and energetic Brand Manager to oversee the representation and promotion of the New Living Translation (NLT) and derivative translations (in existence or to be developed in other languages). This role is responsible for executing and multiplying Tyndale’s strategic vision for the NLT brand. Daily activities will include managing NLT and Bible-correlated marketing campaigns, driving brand awareness and messaging alignment for the NLT, and fostering consistent brand communication tactics for our global brand integrity. The NLT Brand Manager will work collaboratively across departmental teams, as well as assisting the marketing and product development teams to ensure consistent messaging, and he/she will offer NLT messaging consult and best practice guidance for brand managers marketing the NLT in other languages as well as for sales team messaging.
What You'll Do
- Marketing Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and evaluate annual NLT advertising campaigns across digital, social, print, and other channels, including trade and end-user initiatives. Oversee the translation website, monitor campaign performance, manage budgets, and develop strategies.
- Earned Media & Public Relations: Lead media campaigns, secure press coverage, and develop an NLT ambassador program with key influencers for webinars, videos, endorsements, and select appearances. Build relationships with faith leaders, influencers and media to amplify brand presence.
- Events & Engagement: Organize events, forums, and webinars to promote the NLT, collaborating with internal stakeholders. Represent the brand at key conferences and speaking engagements.
- Global Brand Alignment: Work with international teams to ensure consistent messaging and communication across different language editions of the NLT.
- Brand Integrity & Standards: Monitor and uphold brand guidelines, oversee sales training, and ensure accurate brand representation in all communications. Support internal and external stakeholders in maintaining brand integrity.
Skills and Qualifications Needed
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field is required. MBA or related advanced degree preferred. Bible college or divinity school background is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in brand management, product marketing, or a similar, preferably in publishing or other Christian faith organizations.
- Proven experience in hands-on development and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, social, print, and event marketing.
- Strong understanding of earned media strategies and some experience managing media relations.
- Able to travel occasionally 10% - 15%; may include international travel; will include conference booth activities.
- Excellent communication, project management, and collaboration skills.
- Passionate for the NLT Bible, Christian ministry, and the mission of Tyndale House Publishers.
- Experience in cross-cultural communications and guiding global brand consistency is a plus.
- Have a keen understanding of the Bible translation marketplace as well as the range of consumer options and existing Bible predilections.
- Personal alignment with the bible as God’s Word, and agreement with our Statement of Faith.
This is an on-site position. After an initial training period, this role may be open to a hybrid work schedule, which means you'll be given the flexibility to split time between working from home and in the office.

The hiring range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000 annually. Actual offers will take into consideration the candidate’s education, experience, industry knowledge, technical skills, and other relevant factors.
