Tyndale is looking for an energetic and creative Author Relations & PR Coordinator to support both Tyndale’s Author Relations and PR teams. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment across multiple teams- Fiction, Non-fiction and Kids- you will want to consider this vital role in caring for and supporting our authors.
As one of the only publishing houses that has a dedicated Author Relations department, this position gives you a unique connection to authors that is rare in the industry!
Primary responsibilities include:
- Interact with our authors from the onset of their publishing experience and celebrate milestones like release day and sales achievements.
- Collaborate with the team on special projects such as the Author Relations website and handbooks, author events, creative materials, video projects, etc.
- Coordinate in-house hospitality for authors including meeting and video shoot set-up and clean-up, and ordering/providing food and beverages as needed.
- Coordinate administrative duties of Author Visits to Tyndale, such as making hotel and meal reservations, creating itineraries, and submitting travel reimbursement requests.
- Track, source and send meaningful author gifts for Christmas, birthday and other special occasions
- Process invoices, update Author Relations budget worksheets, and team expense reports.
- Oversee and maintain author database
- Coordinate PR eblasts, assist in writing press releases, media alerts and other media materials
- Conduct PR media research, social media coordination, track media hits, handle mailings, and other tasks as needed
- Provide support and administrative assistance to the PR team as needed
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel spreadsheets and budget tracking. Technology savvy and Canva experience a plus.

- College degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Flexibility in scheduling for special events is essential
- Must have own, reliable transportation for local errands

This is an In-House Only, Full-Time position at Tyndale House in Carol Stream, IL.
The hiring range for this full-time position is $19-22 per hour. Actual offers will take into consideration the candidate’s education, experience, industry knowledge, technical skills, and other relevant factors.
