Our client, an innovative lighting design and manufacturing company, is seeking a Junior Application Specialist to support their lighting operations. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career with a technical mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a desire to grow in the industry. No prior lighting experience is required – our Client will train you! If you have AutoCAD skills, proficiency in Excel, and a hunger to learn, this could be the perfect role for you.

Our client specializes in tailored lighting solutions (designed and assembled in America) for major commercial, manufacturing, and industrial projects. They collaborate closely with general contractors and industry professionals to deliver high-quality, energy-efficient lighting solutions. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a confident, motivated, and eager-to-learn individual to join their expanding team.


Job Summary

The Junior Application Specialist will play a key role in designing, managing, and supporting lighting projects from start to finish. This position is ideal for someone technically inclined, great communicator, detail-oriented, and ready to take on new challenges in an exciting, growing field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lighting Design Support: Assist in setting up projects, working closely with leadership to create customized lighting solutions.
  • AutoCAD & Software Application: Utilize AutoCAD (minimum 1 year of experience required) for project layouts and designs. Learn lighting design software (Visual or AGi32) with full training provided.
  • Project Coordination & Implementation: Help organize, plan, and oversee lighting projects from concept to completion.
  • Excel & Data Management: Use Excel to analyze, track, and manage project data, budgets, and quotes efficiently.
  • Hands-On Learning & Career Development: Work directly with top industry professionals, gain technical skills, and advance your career.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of AutoCAD experience.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with Computer software; microsoft, excel, etc.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to collaborate effectively with team members, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Desire to Learn: Ability and desire to learn lighting design software (Visual or AGi32) and local building codes.
  • Project Management: Ability to multi-task, manage deadlines, and oversee multiple project aspects to ensure successful completion.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills on projects.

  • Technical Aptitude: Background in technology, construction, or a related field is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, especially in lighting software.
