Position: Grants and Contracts Manager
Classification: Full-time 12-month position, Exempt
Reporting to: Director of Development and Chief Financial Officer
Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven professional to serve as a full time Overbrook employee, with granting writing responsibilities and as a critical liaison between development and the business office. This dual-role position will support the organization’s fundraising efforts by researching, writing, and managing grant proposals while also assisting with administrative functions in the business office. The ideal candidate is an organized, self-motivated individual with strong writing skills and financial acumen who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Essential Functions:
Development Office - Grant Writing & Fundraising Support (50%)
- Research grants opportunities from private foundations, corporations, and government sources.
- Write and submit compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports.
- Track grant application deadlines and maintain a calendar of submissions and reporting requirements.
- Work closely with program staff to gather necessary data and information for proposals and reports.
- Maintain accurate grant records and donor databases.
- Assist in developing fundraising materials as needed.
Business Office (50%)
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all grant and contract requirements, including allowable expenditures and restrictions.
- Serve as liaison between Development and Business Offices to reconcile donations, pledges and other revenue on a monthly basis.
- Maintain detailed records of all gifts, pledges and donor agreements ensuring accurate and timely data entry into donor and financial management systems.
- Develop grant budgets in collaboration with Business Office and Program staff.
- Support special projects and initiatives related to fundraising, donor stewardship and organizational growth.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Experience in DonorPerfect preferred.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in grant writing, nonprofit fundraising, or business administration.
- Strong research, writing, and proofreading skills.
- Familiarity with grant application processes and nonprofit financial management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Foundation Directory, DonorPerfect, DonorSearch and Grants Management Software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a nonprofit setting is preferred.

Expected Hours of Work: Primarily daytime hours but some evenings and weekends during department events. This is an in-person position.
