Description
TechSolve is seeking an enthusiastic and savvy Graphic Design Paid Intern to assist TechSolve’s Marketing Department in implementing its marketing efforts. The Marketing Design Intern will work under the direction of the Director of Client Experience in two main areas: visual assets and emerging media.
Essential Functions
1. Marketing Assets: Assist the Marketing Department in creation and revision of its marketing assets (print and digital) for various marketing and business applications (website, email campaigns, print production, social media, etc.); Assemble final presentation material for webinar slide decks, etc.; Design, develop and update customer facing materials such as sales sheets, case studies, white papers, and other instructions for use.
2. Video Content: Assist with the script development and production of in-house video and gathering B-Roll footage; edit video and audio content.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Design Communications, Marketing or a relevant field.
Required Skills/Competencies:
- Demonstrated understanding of design communications strategies and implementation tactics.
- Must possess working knowledge of social media platforms (including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube), internet engagement and strategic best practices for reader engagement and user experience.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- Extremely organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communicates effectively with leadership, external stakeholders, subject matter experts, etc.
- Comfortable working both independently and in collaborative team settings.
- Adaptable to and comfortable with ever-changing business demands. Takes initiative to work through ambiguity and effectively problem solve.
Preferred Skills:
- Keen interest in emerging media.
- Experience creating written content for social media platforms (including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube).
- Working understanding of best practices for SEO.
- Experience in videography, audio journalism or production (radio station, newsroom) a plus.
- Familiarity with video and audio editing software like Premiere, and Audition or similar programs a plus.
Communication Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively in English (written and spoken) with client personnel and employees at all organizational levels and in a variety of environments. Must be able to develop effective working relationships with staff and external stakeholders.
Reasoning Ability:
Individual must be a team player with the ability to exercise independent, sound judgment and discretion; ability to independently solve problems, be able to plan; be well organized with the ability to multi-task; work well under pressure; take initiative, and be flexible and cooperative.

Work Environment:
Normal office environment. Limited travel may be required to accomplish essential requirements of the positon. Requires the ability to travel by aircraft and automobile to remote locations as needed, and the ability to drive/operate an automobile.
Expected Hours of Work:
Position will require standard work hours of Monday through Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm.
This is a paid position with rate based on experience.
