Position Overview

Deeter Investments is seeking a highly organized and intellectually curious individual to join our fully remote trading team as a Real-Time News Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring various news sources (short form, long format, video, audio, written) in real time, rapidly interpreting and contextualizing market-moving information, and delivering concise, actionable insights to our trading desk. This is a fast-paced, highly visible position that requires impeccable attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure.

No prior experience is required—we will provide comprehensive training for the right candidate. We value autonomy and results, allowing you to focus on high-quality work . Key Responsibilities

• Monitor & Interpret News
  Continuously track multiple news outlets, websites, and social media feeds during trading hours. With training, learn to quickly analyze and interpret breaking news, world events, and stock-related developments.
• Company and market knowledge
  Develop a deep familiarity with the companies and stories driving market activity. Share concise summaries and contextual analysis to inform the trading desk’s decisions.
• Real-Time Research
  Conduct rapid, on-the-spot research on emerging market trends, events, and relevant financial information. Create organized, accurate documentation of findings for immediate dissemination to the team.
• Data Compilation & Accessibility
  Assist in compiling critical data and ensure that all relevant information is easily accessible for reference by the trading desk.
• Continuous Communication
  Maintain live communication with the trading desk throughout trading hours, adapting quickly to new instructions or shifts in focus.
• Collaboration & Strategy
  Work hand-in-hand with the company Partner and Lead Investment Analyst to align analysis with the firm’s overall trading strategies.
• Focus & Stamina
  Demonstrate exceptional concentration, delivering high productivity during extended trading sessions. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while upholding strict accuracy and timeliness standards.
• Organization & Documentation
  Stay organized in both thought processes and documentation, facilitating rapid information retrieval.
• Analytical Scope
  Analyze relevant activity around assigned companies, including competitive news, performance, valuation metrics, sell-side coverage, short interest, derivatives activity, and technical indicators.

Compensation & Benefits

In accordance with applicable law, the base salary range for this role depends on education, experience, and knowledge base. In addition, the employee who fills this position will be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive compensation program and comprehensive benefits programs (e.g., medical insurance and other healthcare plans).
