The Role 

The Sun Life U.S. ITSD Production Support team is looking for a proactive, positive, and dynamic team player to join our development team as an intern supporting our Dental line of business. As a member of Sun Life's ITSD Production Support team, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in triaging and fixing our core business application and the jobs and services supporting it.  This an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of software development among a team dedicated to success.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

·         Software development and support of existing applications

·         Documentation

·         Testing and QA of code

·         Incident management and triage

·         Other duties as assigned

Core skill sets needed for this role:

·         Programming knowledge and proficiency with C#/Java and T-SQL

·         General problem solving and debugging experience

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Proactive, able to manage multiple projects with demanding deadlines

·         Highly-motivated, self-driven, focused, strong attentive to detail

The Candidate

To be eligible for an internship at Sun Life, you must meet the following requirements:

·         Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university during the time of internship (June 2025 – August 2025)

·         Must be an undergraduate or graduate student in Computer Science or a related field of study

·         Eligible to legally work in the United States

·         Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during Intern session

Compensation for this role will be $20/hr. Preference, but not required, for candidate to be located near Milwaukee, WI.
