Quality Process Engineer Intern

Department: Quality Job Status: Full Time

 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt - Intern

 Reports To: Quality Manager

 Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 

Amount of Travel Required: 0 

Pay: $19-$21/hr.

POSITION SUMMARY This is an INTERN position. This position will support the Quality Department with various projects and tasks.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 • Follow established work procedures and perform work assignments as required to meet all Starrett Tru-Stone safety, quality and production goals.

 • Enter and/or create electronic records including visual work instructions with photos and descriptions.

 • Root-cause analysis investigations and develop corrective actions. 

• Analyze processes to initiate and encourage continuous improvement initiatives.

 • Work closely with various departments on development and solutions. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 

• Exceptional typing skills (MS Excel, Word, Acrobat.)

• AutoCAD and SolidWorks and Macros proficiency. 

• Knowledge of mechanical drawing principles including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

 • Understanding of production systems and processes.

 • Ability to comprehend complex technical topics. 

• Attention to detail.
