The approximate date of this internship is June 2025 to January 2026 and will be located in Glendale, CA.
What You Will Do
The intern will help the WDI Communications team deliver highly engaging and compelling content that represents the incredible Imagineering talent, teams and projects we support. This position works collaboratively with leaders across the Communications team, and be accountable to the Senior Media Producer, who oversees visual communication deliverables.
We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual with a broad range of skills and experience to support various communication needs. From creating compelling video content, graphics to support internal communications and social media campaigns, to dynamic keynote presentations and project sizzle reels, the intern should have a vision for how the content should be organized and stylized to connect with target audiences. Based on the nature of communications, this is a highly collaborative role that requires flexibility and a can-do spirit. As an intern on the team, you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop creative concepts, scripts and produce video content for internal & external communications
- Create graphics for emails, website, presentations & videos
- Deliver high-quality output with an eye for detail and audience engagement
- Proactively identify relevant assets and information needed to assemble presentation materials
- Collaborate/coordinate with team members and other communication partners and Imagineers as projects dictate
- Actively engage with the team in brainstorms and contribute suggestions and ideas to help elevate communications overall
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in video production (cameras, lighting & audio)
- Ability to absorb complex information and translate into engaging messages accessible to a wide audience
- Self-motivated and effective worker with the ability to go above and beyond to consistently deliver high-quality materials on short timeframes
- Effective communication, verbal and written, with other groups to ensure content is accurate and appropriate
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment
- Ability to actively listen and ask questions to understand core communication goals to develop the most effective visuals
- Ability to prioritize tasks and ensure all deadlines are met
- Ability to handle confidential information and to exercise good judgment and discretion when handling sensitive issues.
- Proficient with Adobe Premiere & Photoshop
- Comfortable with the physical demands of the role, which can include working outside in the elements (extreme heat and/or cold), continuously holding, carrying, and lifting up to 25 pounds of video equipment, frequent walking & standing
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, Media Encoder, Apple Keynote
- Knowledge of social media applications (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube)
- Strong curiosity about problem-solving and critical thinking to elevate communications overall
- Previous experience working in media relations or with a PR Agency (or related)
- Previous experience as a Disney Cast Member
Education
Currently enrolled as a Junior or higher attending an accredited college/university, earning a degree in video production or graphic design (or comparable major)
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
- Able to provide reliable transportation to/from work
- Must be fully available for the duration of the internship
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship in Glendale, CA
