Summary

Contribute to the overall success of the accounting team by performing essential functions that allow the team to provide the company with accurate and timely financial information. Further, this position will use financial knowledge gained to identify areas of improvement and related recommendations in the areas of finance and accounting.

 

Areas of focus may include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in project management and planning of key events/priorities
  • Perform financial analysis, strategic business analysis and detailed industry research
  • Engage in continuous process improvement efforts to streamline financial planning and budget management processes for efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist in the preparation of various month end journal entries
  • Complete data imports and data entry into the general ledger system
  • Aid in the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and research/correction of related accounting activity
  • Perform intercompany accounting with multiple domestic subsidiaries
  • Assist team in gathering and reviewing information for annual audit process
  • Develop analytical skills by performing in-depth review and analysis of financial statements

 

Education, Skills, Knowledge 

  • Enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree program of a related field
  • Graduating in Winter of 2025 or Spring of 2026
  • Course of study must be related to internship role
  • Minimum GPA of 2.75
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a variety of situations
  • Ability respond to change in a positive manner
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong desire to learn new skills
  • High degree of professionalism; inclusive and collaborative work style
  • It is preferred that applicants have authorization to work lawfully in the United States

 

Work Environment

This position operates in an office environment.

 

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift 20 lbs.

 

Travel

Zero to minimal travel required. 

 

Exemption Status

This is a non-exempt role reporting to the Branch Manager or General Manager. 


 

**Pay will be determined based on education level. 

  • Junior - $21/hour
  • Senior - $22/hour
