Job Title: Marketing Intern (Summer 2025)

Supervisor: Marketing Coordinator

Classification: Part-Time (approximately 10-15 hours/week) June 1 – August 15 or as agreed upon by intern and Anchor of Hope

Wage: $16/hour (starting) 

Purpose: 

The Marketing Intern will work under the direction of Anchor of Hope’s Marketing Coordinator to assist with the creation of media content, performance tracking, and contribute to the optimization of Anchor of Hope’s digital marketing campaigns across various marketing channels. The preferred candidate will have video editing experience, and a working knowledge of current social media platforms as utilized for marketing and audience attraction. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Openness to work in a faith-based nonprofit environment.
  • Experience with video editing, targeted messaging, and campaign development.
  • Possess a basic understanding of online and social media marketing tools as pertaining to specific key audiences. 
  • Demonstrates strong servant leadership by promoting harmony and ministry cohesiveness. 
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal, and administrative skills and the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Able to manage confidential information with sensitivity and discretion.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, creative, resourceful, responsible, and a team builder.
  • Possesses strong written, verbal, and organizational skills.
  • Possesses excellent people skills and a friendly demeanor.
  • Current student enrolled in a business, marketing, communications, or related program.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Adobe Creative or Adobe Premier Pro, and WordPress.
  • Experience using analytics software.
  • Agreement with the mission of Anchor of Hope.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Marketing Coordinator with development of video content and messaging for social media ads. 
  • Help provide edits for supporter’s website content by working with the Marketing Coordinator.  
  • Support Marketing Coordinator with strategies and management of Anchor of Hopes  implementation of Google AdWords grant, Google PPC, SEO, and other digital and print marketing efforts. 
    •  Use of client data and analytics reports for strategic plans and decisions.

 Ensure continuity of all branding and messaging across all print and digital media.

  • Assist with strategies to grow monthly social media on supporter site and increase website traffic to Anchor of Hope’s supporter’s page.
    • Monitor online presence
    • Grow online traffic through expansion of social media channels and other tools.
  • Assist in developing strategies to increase awareness of Anchor of Hope within the community.
  • Other responsibilities may be included as agreed upon by intern and managing staff.
