Job Summary
Join our team as the Associate Director of Parent & Family Engagement. In this dynamic role, you will lead initiatives to engage, create, and oversee programs and events that strengthen Parents' bond with the college and support the college's educational and philanthropic mission.
Responsibilities
• In conjunction with the Associate Vice President for Engagement, set long-term and annual goals for Parent engagement.
• Plan comprehensive Parent programming including legacy events, Parent Weekend, and the parent programming portion of New Student Orientation and commencement.
• Oversee Parent engagement communications, provide subject matter expertise regarding Parent communications for other departments on campus, and strengthen and advocate across campus regarding The Tiger Family Connection, the communication portal for Parents.
• Develop a volunteer program for Parents to engage and connect with each other and support the college's educational and philanthropic mission.
• Supervise and work with the Assistant Director for Parent and Family Engagement.
• Maintain positive relationships across the college with other departments that impact the Parent experience, working collaboratively to further the college's educational and philanthropic mission.
• Manage the Parent program budget.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of five years of related experience in customer service, communications, higher education, program development, staff administration and/or volunteer management.
• Proficient with computer software programs such as Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and basic business math.
• Ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
• Good judgment and ability to handle confidential and/or sensitive information with discretion.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with colleagues in other departments/teams to plan and execute events and programs.
Preferred Qualifications
• Three years of experience working in an elite, private liberal arts college working with parents and families, coordinating volunteers, planning events and managing budgets.
• Experience working with campus partners such as Admissions, Student Life, Communications and senior administrators.
• Two years supervising other staff, volunteers and/or student workers.
• Experience with Cascade website management, Salesforce Affinaquest CRM, Emma email marketing, Momentus venue management, Blackthorn event software, Campus ESP or similar programs. Demonstrated ability to learn new software.
• Ability to articulate the benefits of a degree from a private liberal arts college.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:
• $56,485 to $67,339
