Technology Services Intern

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Technology Services Intern is responsible for assisting the Director, Technology Services with administrative duties as needed.  This includes documentation, data entry, managing defined processes and participating in other project activities, as assigned.

This person will perform system implementation tasks, document processes and workflows for knowledge articles, and assist with other Service delivery processes.

 

The Details:  This is a full-time remote opportunity. 10-week internship that will run from early June through August 2025.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This internship provides hands-on experience in IT service management, troubleshooting, and service delivery processes. You will work closely with the Service Delivery team to support IT operations, enhance customer satisfaction, and contribute to the delivery of seamless IT services across the organization.

  • Assist with IT Service Delivery: Support the service delivery team in managing the day-to-day operations of IT services, including incident management, problem resolution, and service requests.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Assist with monitoring IT services and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met. Prepare and analyze service delivery reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Technical Support: Provide support to end users by assisting with hardware, software, and network-related issues. Troubleshoot and escalate issues as needed.
  • Documentation: Help create and maintain accurate documentation for IT services, including user manuals, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with team members to review and improve IT service delivery processes, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with clients to gather feedback on service delivery and resolve any service-related concerns.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of IT systems, networks, hardware, and software applications. Familiarity with ITIL or IT service management frameworks is a plus.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to work with accuracy and precision, particularly when handling service delivery reports and technical documentation.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

 

SALARY RANGE

  • $17-$22 per hour. Exact pay will be determined based on candidate experience, geographical location, and size/complexity of the program being supported.
