Position Overview 

The Sales & Marketing Specialist is responsible for executing revenue-generating activities and building brand visibility for Strategico Consultants. This role combines hands-on sales support with the execution of marketing initiatives to attract and engage mission-driven organizations. The ideal candidate will understand the full sales cycle from top to bottom of funnel and will have experience identifying, qualifying, nurturing, and converting leads.

Sales Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CEO to develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company growth goals.
  • Identify and qualify leads that align with Strategico’s ideal client profile.
  • Design and execute multi-touch drip campaigns to nurture leads through the sales funnel.
  • Conduct outbound outreach, including cold calling, to generate new opportunities.
  • Actively work to identify networking and influencer opportunities for the CEO and other subject matter experts.
  • Work with the CEO to plan and execute lead generation strategies around conferences, including:
    • Pre- and post-event drip campaigns
    • Cold calling event leads
    • Organizing and coordinating event-site meetings, prospect dinners and side events
  • Work with the CEO to develop a Partner Program, including identifying and onboarding strategic referral partners, co-marketing opportunities, and building systems to track and manage partner-sourced leads.
  • Manage the firm's CRM system (e.g., uploading contact lists, deduping records, updating the pipeline, and building reports).
  • Draft client proposals and pitch materials based on sales discussions and solution alignment.

Marketing Responsibilities

  • Work with the CEO to develop overarching marketing strategy and act as “feet on the ground” on organizational execution.
  • Maintain and update the company website with fresh content, service offerings, and success stories.
  • Create and manage engaging social media content across LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
  • Develop and maintain a blog calendar, coordinating with internal subject matter experts to publish regular thought leadership.
  • Build and distribute a monthly newsletter to clients, partners, and prospects.
  • Track and report on marketing performance metrics, including campaign ROI, web analytics, and lead conversion.
  • Support the creation and management of marketing assets such as landing pages, email templates, buyer’s guides, case studies, and use cases.
  • Research and identify opportunities for sponsorships, speaking engagements, podcast appearances, exhibiting at conferences or industry events, and other marketing collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3–5 years of experience in a B2B marketing, sales support, or business development role
  • Preference for a bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, business, or communications fields. 
  • Experience marketing and selling services versus products is a strong advantage
  • Comfortable using CRM systems to manage pipeline and sales activities (e.g., Pipedrive, HubSpot, Zoho)
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with experience creating content for newsletters, social media, and proposals
    • Deep understanding of LinkedIn is of value
  • Skills in multiple mediums including video and podcast creation, editing, and promotion is a plus
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms and building drip or nurture campaigns
  • Organized self-starter who can juggle multiple priorities and take initiative
  • Experience working in or with consulting firms, associations, or nonprofits is a plus
  • Familiarity with marketing tools like Canva, Weebly (CMS), Mailchimp, and Google Analytics is preferred
