
Chief of Staff
Role: Chief of Staff
Location: Remote
Reports to: Executive Director, Gratitude Network
Position Overview: The Chief of Staff Intern will provide strategic and operational support to the Executive Director (ED) of Gratitude Network. This internship is designed to offer hands-on experience in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, strategic planning, and operational development. The intern will work closely with the ED to support the organization's mission of empowering nonprofit leaders and accelerating community impact.
Paid/Unpaid: This internship is paid ($250 per month).
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising and Donor Stewardship:
- Support the ED in managing and stewarding relationships with individual donors
- Assist in preparing materials for board meetings, including agendas, presentations, and meeting minutes
- Conduct research on potential donors, partners, and funding opportunities to support the organization's mission
- Track and maintain donor engagement and follow-up processes
Strategy Creation:
- Collaborate with the ED and senior team members to develop strategy decks for board meetings, partner meetings, and fundraising campaigns.
- Assist in gathering relevant data, creating visual presentations, and ensuring that all materials are aligned with the organization's strategic goals.
- Assist with the development and creation of the Annual Report
- Work with ED and Director of Impact & Engagement to develop and create corporate philanthropy strategy and execution.
Operating Procedures Development:
- Work with the ED to review and create standardized operating procedures to streamline internal processes.
- Help develop frameworks for measuring operational effectiveness and improving workflows.
Project Management:
- Assist in tracking the progress of ongoing initiatives and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Coordinate with different teams to support the implementation of organizational projects.
Qualifications:
- Passion for the nonprofit sector and supporting social impact organizations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and Google Workspace.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Prior experience in administrative support, fundraising, or strategic planning is a plus.
Time Commitment: 10 hours per week (flexible schedule)
