Summer Internship Program

Visu-Sewer is a national organization which serves the underground construction and utility community in the Mid-West and beyond. Visu-Sewer uses the latest inspection technology for the assessment of sewer pipes. With highly trained crews and extensive experience, Visu-Sewer also provides diverse trenchless processes and solutions to maintain, rehabilitate and repair entire collection systems to deliver maximum performance.

Purpose/General Summary: Our internship program is designed to give you an immersive leadership experience at one of our 6 locations. This program includes hands-on rotations throughout all the location’s business segments. It is designed to give you real-world leadership experience, along with a thorough understanding of how each division functions to support the overall production strategy. If you are passionate about leading and motivating others while making a sustainable impact on the country’s infrastructure– we are interested in you! 
 
 
Responsibilities: 
• Rotations: You will spend the summer learning and working in every sector of your location. These rotations are designed to give you hands-on knowledge of what positions, equipment, and materials are involved in each specific production process. 
• Will provide support and hands on involvement to the operations team 
• May work on either or both the lining or service side of the business.  
• Ensure safe and efficient operations of the team. Maintain the production practices that support the quality required to meet our customers’ expectations. 
• Create an environment where all are expected to be active members of the team. Recognize and celebrate successes. Challenge people to be better than they thought possible.  
• Create relationships with hourly team members.  
• Shadow production supervisors and learn their day-to-day operation.s 
• Anticipate and determine causes of delays in operations and take appropriate actions to meet production schedules. 
• Complete a challenging project that aligns with key performance indicators (KPI’s) and impacts our bottom line.  
• Participate in group-based Leadership Development Training sessions at our corporate headquarters in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. 
• Final Placement: Successful internships will lead to Leadership Trainee or other Full Time opportunities.  
 
What You Bring (Qualifications): 
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent  
• Alignment with Visu-Sewer core values and culture 
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills 
• Willingness to work different shifts and occasional weekends 
• Flexibility to relocate 
 

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits: 
• Starting pay of $28 per hour

• Hands on learning experience
• Potential for CDL training
• Ability to travel throughout the Midwest
