Accounting Intern

Under the supervision of our Accounting Manager, the Accounting Intern can expect to participate in the preparation of journal entries and financial reports, analyze actual financial data, learn more about bookkeeping software, and assist with other accounting activities.

This position is in the St. Louis, MO office. This is a paid internship opportunity.



Reports to: Accounting Manager

Education & Requirements:

• Must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited University working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or Business Administration; or a recent graduate

• Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and basic understanding of accounting and financial principles

• High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Must have basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word

• Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible

Internship Responsibilities:

• Shadowing members of the accounting department as they perform their duties

• Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records

• Preparing financial reports, such as balance sheet and income statements, invoice and other documents

• Working with bookkeeping software

• Handling sensitive and confidential information with honesty and integrity

• Learning how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company and/or clients.
