Marketing/Social Media Intern

LearningWorks for Kids is looking for a motivated Marketing and Social Media intern with a passion for technology and education to join our team at learningworksforkids.com, where we make video game play digitally nutritious. Responsibilities will include:


 

  • Social media management 
  • Creating partnerships
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals
  • Coordinating media communications 
  • Researching marketing efforts
  • Participating in the development and marketing of a new nonprofit
  • Managing affiliate relationships, and contributing to general marketing strategy
  • Working with the staff of lw4k.com and learningworksforkids.com


 

Successful applicants must attend 1-2 Zoom meetings weekly and dedicate 12-15  hours per week from home. If possible, in-person meetings (We are located in southern Rhode Island) would be ideal.


 

This is a great opportunity to get real-world marketing and social media experience with a trendsetting company that leverages popular technologies to help children with ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Autism, Anxiety, and Depression. Successful applicants are helping these children and their families and learning all about the exciting educational technology field. This role is an opportunity for being creative, self-motivated, and taking on a leadership role with other students. Interns are often given the opportunity for continued employment after completing the internship.


 

Required qualifications: 

  • Strong writing and communication skills. 
  • Extensive experience and passion  (both personal and professional) with multiple social media platforms, particularly Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok, Linkedin, and Twitter (X). 
  • Excellent grasp of marketing with email and social media
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work 12-15 hours per week


 

Recommended qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of WordPress, Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Tailwind, or other content management or blogging software. 
  • Some knowledge of education, psychology, and/or technology. 

Pay/Stipend  $400 per month

Starting date  May 1 2025

We're looking for a minimum 2-semester commitment  (Summer and fall 2025)
