Manufacturing Operations Contractor

LG Chem Ohio Petrochemical, Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Operations Contractor to support our Production Team at our Ravenna, Ohio ABS Compounding Facility. This opportunity offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, providing support to our production team and contributing to process improvements.  The position provides exposure to the different functional areas in our ABS Compounding facility such as Production Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain.


                                                                 What You’ll Be Doing

Essential Functions (included but are not limited to):
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and processes utilizing lean manufacturing principles.
• Manage inventory of consumable production related items, including ordering and re-stocking as needed.
• Enter production related data into our Master Data Management System. Assist in data analysis to identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains.
• Collaborate with the production team to assist with organizing inventory levels.
• Prepare and present reports on production metrics and project progress to management.
• Handle general administrative tasks for the production team, including managing recurring payments for various vendors and suppliers.

                            Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: What We’re Looking For

Competencies / Desired Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Bilingual Korean & English highly preferred to access, translate, and transmit Korean language documents.
