Post Production/Editing Intern

PRODUCTION COMPANY SEEKING PAID POST PRODUCTION/EDITING INTERNS

Blind Nil is a full-service creative multimedia production studio housed under Magnolia, a lifestyle brand founded by Chip and Joanna Gaines. Blind Nil produces titles including the Emmy-nominated series “Fixer Upper: Welcome Home”, “First Time Fixer”, “Magnolia Table with Joanna Gaines”, “Handcrafted Hotels” and many more series across lifestyle, food, and home + design. Blind Nil focuses on unique and inspiring storytelling with projects spanning broadcast, branded, commercials and podcasts.

Blind Nil is looking for Interns to have the opportunity to engage and support creative teams across development, production, editing and post. Through Blind Nil, Interns immerse themselves in the creative production process and learn from an emerging media and entertainment production company. Interns get an in-depth look at a growing slate of creative media and series along with first-hand production experience from development to broadcast.

We are looking for individuals currently enrolled in a degree program and live in the greater Austin area. We value individuals who are organized, bright, energetic, creative, and ambitious.

*This is an in-office minimum wage paid internship. We will not be considering remote applicants.

**Interns are expected to be able to dedicate a minimum of 15 hours a week for the duration of the internship.

POST PRODUCTION/EDITING INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide administrative support to the post production team
• Assist with footage downloads and tracking for self-shot series
• Assist post management team with final deliverables - including QC (quality-control), documents, and other logs
• Assist editorial team with post-production workflow including stringouts, organizing and labeling footage

POST PRODUCTION/EDITING INTERN QUALIFICATIONS:

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate within teams
• Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office applications (especially G-sheets)
• Familiarity with AVID, Premiere, After Effects and other NLEs, but not required
• Flexible, with a can-do attitude
• Good written and verbal communication skills
