Front Office Administrator [1331]

Alexandria based nonprofit organization working in public policy seeks a temporary-to-permanent Front Desk Office Assistant to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and greet visitors into office space.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls to appropriate departments and personnel.
  • Manage email inbox and handle inquiries.
  • Maintain and organize filing systems.
  • Schedule staff meetings and prepare agendas.
  • Track inventory and order office supplies as necessary.
  • Other administrative duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Professional and positive attitude.
  • Exemplary judgement and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications.

Requirements:

  • Previous administrative experience.

Rate: $20 per hour while temping.

Salary: $45,000 – $50,000 per year once permanent depending on experience
