Production Supervisor Intern

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

This role will be mentored by a Production Management Lead.  

Assist in supervising production lines, in accordance with plant policies and procedures. 

Train and coach production line employees. 

Assist in production supervisor duties to include:  work station assignments, employee training, employee vacations, employee overtime assignments, and back-up for absent employees. 

Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers. 

Participate in production shift meetings. 

Responsible for quality control, making adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications and reject product outside of specifications. 

Communicate with other supervisors, advisors, and managers. 

Ensure a clean and safe work area. 

Complete necessary paperwork. 

Assist in production as necessary. 

Other duties as assigned. 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS 

Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required. 

Minimum of 2 years of college in Business/Manufacturing/Engineering or Operations.
