Summer Tax Intern
ECOM is looking to hire an energetic and detail oriented Summer intern for our Tax Department. This internship will report to our Sr. Tax Accountant and assist with maintaining books and records as well collaboration with the local tax team. This internship will be in-person in our Addison location.

Intern Responsibilities
• Process invoices in a timely manner.
• Record financial transactions.
• Conduct a monthly reconciliation of accounts.
• Organize and maintain all financial records, including the preparation of financial statements.
• Assembling and summarizing tax data for management information reports.
• Prepare tax filings 1042s/1099s.
• Assist in the onboarding of new client’s bookkeeping services (i.e. QuickBooks setup)
• Handle miscellaneous tax research, analysis, interpretation of current tax laws, and other projects as required.
• Assist in establishing effective risk monitoring controls.You'll gain specialized skills in the accounting field such as preparing journal entries, prepared financial statements, and organize important financial and tax files. Additionally, key transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, and computer proficiency.
Internship Requirements
• Enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Program
• Beginner+ experience in Microsoft Excel and Word software
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
