Get Ready Pathway Coordinator

Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting with the GEARUP Program (Gaining Early Awareness & Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) at assigned schools. The position provides support to school-based staff delivering GEARUP services and provides ongoing training (when applicable) to ensure effective implementation at middle and/or high schools. The position also assists with program management and evaluation, provides staff development, and collects data to ensure compliance with federal requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for these positions:

  • Two (2) years of experience directly working with high school or college students or a youth development organization
    • A bachelor's degree in education, social work, counseling, or related field will substitute for one (1) year of experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing equitable and inclusive service delivery to meet student and school needs in a diverse multi-cultural and multi-racial community
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, including listening, speaking, writing and the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations in a positive, courteous, and helpful manner
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of how to report large data sets accurately to reflect the impact of a program or project

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in education, social work, counseling, or related field
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish, Hmong, Somali, Karen)
  • Specific work with youth development, college/career access, youth academic enrichment and family support programs
  • Creative and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
