Position Overview:
Kirlin Lighting is seeking a Lab Technician Intern to support our engineering team in testing, fixturing, and measurement projects within our on-site lab. This internship provides hands-on experience with product testing and development, ideal for students pursuing a degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory tests on lighting products to evaluate performance and compliance.
  • Assist in the design and assembly of test racks, fixturing, and lab infrastructure improvements.
  • Support the team in exploring a new measurement approach for Kirlin’s in-house goniometer setup.
  • Document test results, procedures, and findings for internal analysis.
  • Collaborate with engineers to refine test methodologies and improve lab capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field), Physics, or a similar discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment, mechanical assembly, or data collection is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a technical setting.
  • Interest in lighting, optics, or measurement technologies is a bonus.
