GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of a higher classification, performs highly responsible complex and specialized investigative work in developing legal cases for the Parish Attorney's Office. Work involves conducting highly confidential investigations. Employees of this class may supervise subordinates assigned to their section or administer and direct a special program for the office. Work is performed with independence in accordance with rules, regulations, and policies of the office under the provision of law and administrative directives. Supervision is received from an attorney or designated agency official. Performs other work as requested.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree.
SUBSTITUTIONS
Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS

Position(s) may be required to obtain Police Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) Certification.
