Human Resources Intern
The State University Construction Fund (Fund) is currently seeking a part-time Human Resources Intern to join our Administrative Services team at our office in Albany, NY.
The Administrative Services Department is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources including recruitment, payroll, benefits, performance management, Human Resources Management System, oversight of the Fund's operating budget, fleet vehicle program, records management, training and other administrative functions. The Human Resources Intern will assist with various recruitment initiatives, onboarding, training, and other administrative duties.
- Assists with creating and monitoring recruitment advertisements and social media postings for various employment opportunities.
- Assists with maintaining the Fund's Leave and Accrual Tracking System (LATS).
- Distributes benefit information to Fund employees.
- Monitors performance evaluation schedule, issue evaluations to supervisors to be completed, and prepare monthly report of outstanding evaluations.
- Collect and file documents as assigned.
- Assists with New Hire Orientation of new employees and coordinates onboarding program.
- May assist with various personnel studies by gathering and analyzing information and preparing reports.
- Assists with annual mandatory training enrollments, and tracking completion.
- Assists with the development and implementation of Fund policies, programs, and procedures.
- Assists with employee events.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Students must be currently enrolled in college or be a recent college graduate (two or four-year accredited college). The internship should be related to the student's career goals. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Familiarity and experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
This position does not require a NYS Civil Service examination.
Additional Information:
Salary range: $17.31 - $21.50 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
