Receptionist
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Embrace Playhouse Square values and programs that further Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within the department.
- Observe the hours of 8:45AM to 5:15PM and schedule coverage for all prearranged absences.
- Answer all incoming calls and direct appropriately; take accurate and complete messages as needed.
- Greet, screen and announce all visitors. Ensure that each visitor signs the guest log.
- Become familiar with the functions and activities of Playhouse Square departments and Playhouse Square personnel in order to direct calls immediately and appropriately.
- Receive and sign for deliveries and maintain delivery records; inform recipients of deliveries received.
- Provide clerical assistance (labels, envelopes, memos, etc.) to various departments as needed.
- Assist in preparation of special bulk mailings as requested.
- Track weekly attendance and forward all responses appropriately for computer input.
- Maintain the reception area in a neat, clean and orderly manner.
- Unlock/lock reception area entrance upon office opening and secure desk area upon office closure.
- Train newly hired desk coverage on front desk procedures and keep all relevant and necessary front desk information up to date.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of one year administrative experience.
- Outgoing, people oriented person, with outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of current PC hardware and software.
