Administrative Support Assistant

Associate’s degree, one year of administrative support experience, and knowledge of California court systems are preferred.  This position requires in-office support.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides clerical support to legal support staff, attorneys, and paralegals under the mentorship of an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant or Specialist. 
  • Ensures attorney timesheets are entered, proofread, and released in accordance with deadlines, and performs time edits as necessary.
  • Performs scan/copy/print projects for legal support staff, attorneys, and paralegals utilizing the Firm’s software programs. 
  • Profiles and uploads documents in the Firm’s electronic document management system and organizes paper copies in files as appropriate.
  • Inputs invoices and expense reports in Firm’s software program for processing.
  • Provides calendaring assistance to Legal Administrative Assistants as needed.
  • Creates hearing, deposition, and trial or litigation binders and/or corporate closing binders as requested by attorneys and paralegals.
  • Shares overflow responsibility in document management and other administrative duties as time permits and as requested by the Practice Support Team Coordinators.  Assists team members with overflow in a team environment.

 

Experience and Education Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience working in an administrative capacity preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

 

 

Compensation 

For applicants that meet the experience requirements for the role and are physically based in Los Angeles, California, the expected salary range is $45,000 – $55,000 annually upon commencement of employment.  Starting salary will be determined on an individualized basis with consideration to prior experience and additional qualifications.  This is in addition to a comprehensive benefit package offered by the Firm.
