Business Development Intern

Job Summary: 

We are seeking a Business Development Intern with a passion to scale and deploy climate tech to join our team. You will play a critical role in establishing the growth and commercialization strategy. Your work will contribute to our mission of developing economical and scalable carbon management and resource recovery solutions.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Conduct market research and analyses to identify industry trends, potential customers, partners, and verticals for our solutions. 
  • Prepare market intelligence reports and presentations to drive commercialization strategy.
  • Support the development of collateral and presentations tailored to prospective clients and partners.
  • Assist with pipeline management, including lead qualification and preparing for outreach engagements.
  • Maintain and organize databases related to projects, market research, and industry trends.
  • Engage industry partners during pilot demonstrations, identify their pain points and discuss solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze potential strategic growth initiatives

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or pursuing) in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in strategy, business development, partnerships, product, private equity, venture, or similar cross-functional roles

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Master’s degree (or pursuing) in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in strategy, business development, partnerships, product, private equity, venture, or similar cross-functional roles

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Must be willing to learn new skills and become familiar with business drivers in new industry sectors. 
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and to deliver results in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to work independently and effectively collaborate with team members, resolve conflicts, and maintain morale.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment, showing flexibility and pragmatism.
  • Must be able to demonstrate high ethical standards and personal integrity.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software to complete analyses and present insights.
