(Mandarin Required) Operations Analyst - Summer Intern

Job Title: Operations Analyst

Role Objectives – What we want you to do

  • Build a reasonable, efficient, and effective data system for collection, monitoring, analysis, and improvement based on job requirements, responsibilities, and on-site situations. This system should support stable services, cost control, and reasonable business goals.
  • Use on-site execution, management, and data analysis to identify current operational, process, and system issues and optimization points. Understand data sources and definitions, improve and design data models to visually monitor and address these issues.
  • Design and implement improvement measures for identified issues in operations, considering the interconnections between processes, teams, and departments. Use data tools to monitor execution and outcomes to achieve set objectives.
  • Monitor departmental goals, break them down into SMART objectives for SU teams, and clarify team members’ responsibilities. Continuously iterate performance evaluation logic and data reporting paths to align with the company’s strategic development.
  • Plan, allocate, and manage human and material resources reasonably based on business needs and forecasts to ensure warehouse operations meet overall performance targets while complying with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive the business through data by monitoring and resolving unresolved anomalies. Act as the driver and problem-solver for urgent and exceptional incidents, coordinating resources during the process and standardizing solutions afterward based on scenarios.

Job Responsibilities – What you will be doing

  • Process Design: Assist the operations leader in analyzing and managing personnel capacity and operational capability. Optimize process designs and empower on-site personnel to implement them effectively.
  • System Analysis: Monitor warehouse operations, including daily safety operations, based on operational requirements. Use visual analytics reports to continuously optimize processes, improve efficiency, manage costs, and ensure all warehouse KPI targets are met.
  • Training Materials: Create management methods, charts, and data flow diagrams to improve employee skills and efficiency. Empower employees to learn and comprehend through training and assessments.
  • Quality Control: Use data to monitor inbound and outbound processes, ensuring continuous reduction of warehouse anomalies and maintaining high service quality.
  • Case Studies: Assist the operations leader in establishing production standards for each role. Analyze risks before operations, manage processes during operations, and summarize solutions afterward to ensure process feasibility and standardized solutions for anomalies.
  • Cross-Department Communication: Monitor and improve SU team efficiency based on defined metrics. Serve as the bridge between frontline staff (report creators) and management (report users). Collaborate with HQ to address system issues, convey on-site operational needs, define new product features, and ensure successful testing and iteration.
  • Business Development: Assist regional operations leaders in warehouse planning, identifying partners and suppliers, and executing warehouse openings as planned.

Qualifications – What you bring to this role

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Automation, or Statistics.
  • Prior experience in overseas warehouse management with expertise in inventory management, stocktaking, and warehouse workflows is preferred.
  • Familiarity with operational models, management planning, and processes for overseas warehouses is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of U.S. OSHA regulations is required.
