Maintenance Intern Job Description

Start your career in property maintenance with a hands-on Maintenance Intern role! This PAID internship provides training and experience in apartment maintenance, safety, and customer service.

  • Learn how to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work.
  • Gain experience in completing service requests and preventive maintenance.
  • Assist in preparing vacant apartments for new residents by learning the "make-ready" process.
  • Understand how to identify and address safety concerns within the community.
  • Work alongside experienced maintenance professionals to learn industry best practices.
  • Develop organizational skills by helping maintain an orderly and well-stocked maintenance shop.
  • Get exposure to maintenance tracking systems and property management software.
  • Build customer service skills by responding to resident maintenance requests.
