Accounting Intern

In this hands-on role, you'll gain valuable experience by assisting with period close, account reconciliations, corporate reporting, and exciting special projects. What you will be doing:
- Prepare and enter accurate journal entries into the financial system by analyzing complex data.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Contribute to the period close process by reviewing financial statements, identifying variances, and collaborating with accounting team members.
- Provide accounting support to hotel and theatre operations.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and recommend process improvements.
- Take on additional responsibilities and projects to support the success of the accounting team.
What we are looking for:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program for Accounting or Finance
- Experience with data analysis and reporting
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Solid financial and analytical skills
- Possess strong interpersonal, verbal, analytical, and written communication skills
- Desire to learn and contribute in a team-based environment
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment while remaining organized and detail oriented
- Willing and motivated to learn new skills, tasks, and software systems to meet the changing demands of the industry
- Ability to be on site in our Milwaukee office, working full-time during the summer and part time during the school year (if still enrolled).

Salary Estimate: starting at $20/hour
