Compensation: $16.00 – $20.00/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Weekdays and weekends; day shifts

Our guests enjoy over 1,600 feet of pristine lakefront, upscale Lake Homes and Log Cabins, a sandy beach, boat rentals, and an exceptional dining experience at The Merit Lakeside Dining & Cocktails—our on-site restaurant and full bar open to both guests and the public.

We are currently seeking detail-oriented, dependable Housekeepers to join our resort operations team. Housekeeping plays a critical role in creating a premium guest experience, ensuring our cabins, lake homes, and public spaces reflect the cleanliness, comfort, and quality we’re known for.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, an eye for detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Opportunities for growth into other resort roles are available.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and prepare guest cabins, lake homes, and common areas to resort standards

Follow detailed cleaning procedures and routines for consistent room quality

Replenish linens, towels, and guest amenities as needed

Report maintenance issues, inventory shortages, or room damage to management promptly

Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of housekeeping supply areas and storage

Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and hygiene protocols

Work efficiently in both high-volume turnover days and routine cleaning schedules

Communicate professionally with guests and team members to support a welcoming environment

What We’re Looking For:

Skills & Qualifications:

Prior housekeeping experience preferred; resort or hotel setting ideal

Experience in the hospitality or tourism industry is a plus

Ability to manage time independently and complete assignments with minimal supervision

Strong attention to detail and pride in work

Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods

Must be able to commute to the worksite in Walker, MN

Preferred Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

English language skills (verbal and written) preferred
