The CommerceNext Sales Operations Manager plays a vital role in supporting the sales team and driving the growth of a dynamic business within the ecommerce event industry. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, this position is responsible for assisting with sales and business strategy efforts, managing sales records and data, supporting proposal and contract processes, and nurturing existing client relationships.
Key responsibilities include tracking sales efforts and client details, onboarding new accounts, aligning with customers on their goals, and ensuring their ongoing needs are met. This role also involves data tracking and analysis, processing and creating agreements, conducting account reviews, and responding to client inquiries.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop expertise in sales operations, customer relations, and business strategy by working closely with an experienced sales leader. The Sales Operations Manager will contribute to ensuring customer satisfaction, strengthening account relationships, and managing essential administrative tasks that support the achievement of sales goals.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, professional, and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote work environment. As part of the CommerceNext team, they will be expected to respond quickly to customer needs and contribute to a collaborative and high-performing sales organization.
Compensation for this role includes performance-based bonuses tied to sales results.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Track and manage sales efforts in the CRM.
- Create and maintain a revenue tracker and sales reporting system.
- Assist the sales team with contract creation, review, and execution.
- Develop and manage sales support documents, including inventory sheets, sales forecasts, and attendee lists.
- Analyze year-over-year (YoY) sales pacing to track growth and trends.
- Coordinate sales invoicing with the finance team and assist with payment reminders.
- Onboard new clients and collaborate internally to ensure seamless delivery of contracted products and services.
- Serve as the liaison between sponsor onboarding and fulfillment at the CN Growth Show, ensuring all sponsor commitments are met.
- Work with the website team to keep sponsor logos updated on the sponsorship landing page.
- Support the Chief Revenue Officer and sales team with various sales-related projects.
- Attend external sales meetings alongside members of the sales team.
Qualifications & Skills
- One to two years of sales and/or administrative or sales support experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Past project management experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Copywriting and editing skills
- Organization and time management skills
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Microsoft and GSuite)
- Creativity and excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to quickly learn and process information
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Proficiency with Canva or other design programs is a plus
- Effective communication and collaboration in a remote-first work environment
- A hunger for continuous improvement
