Procurement - Siemens Energy Intern

Position Overview:

This role as a Project Procurement Intern, where you'll gain hands-on experience in sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization. Assist with procurement activities, data analysis, and process improvement initiatives. This internship offers a great opportunity to build skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities:

Support Procurement Data Management: Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier contracts, and supplier qualifications.

Analyze Spend Data: Conduct basic analysis of procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and performance metrics.

Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with Commodity Managers, Project Management, Quality Management and Operation teams to understand procurement needs and fulfill internal requests.

Assist in Vendor Communication: Help manage relationships with existing suppliers, assisting with communications and resolving basic issues or queries.

Contribute to Process Improvement: Support ongoing efforts to streamline procurement processes and increase efficiency.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, Experience and Abilities:

Strong proficiency in utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)

MS Excel proficiency to regularly develop look-up tables, pivot tables to compare costs and prices.

BA/BS degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Project Management

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Applicants must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and have relevant prior work experience

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Knowledge in Power Automate, Power BI.
