REMOTE Social Media Intern for Public Health Plant-Based Organization

Position title: Social Media Intern

Type: Educational Internship (10-20 hours per week)

Division: Marketing

Reports to: CFO

Location: Remote 

Internship Objectives:  

  • Pitch and implement ideas for social media campaigns.
  • Assist in creating newsletters, educational PowerPoints, and SEO content.
  • Sourcing user-generated content.
  • Learn our voice and write engaging photo captions and story markups for Instagram, Facebook (Facebook Group), LinkedIn (LinkedIn Group), Pinterest, YouTube, Twitter, Tumblr, Snapchat, TikTok, and Quora.
  • Monitor social media conversations and respond to comments on selected channels.
  • Assist in managing the front-end social media (i.e., engagement and comments).
  • Launch new social media channels to build out our brand presence.
  • Support influencer and media outreach.
  • Monitoring social media for relevant opportunities to respond in real-time
  • Report on social engagement and follower growth.
  • Assistance with creating monthly content reports using social media measurement tools such as Hubspot.
  • Influencer, designer, and content creator outreach.
