Fine Art + Photography Gallery Internship

The Robin Rice Gallery is seeking an intern to assist with the day-to-day operations of the gallery. The perfect candidate is one who wants to learn the ins and outs of running a gallery. We require two days a week/weekend from 11pm to 5pm.
Tasks may include:
- Preparing for upcoming exhibitions by curating and coordinating with artists.
- Creating social media posts in Photoshop, creative writing for social media
- Updating digital images, and keyword research in Pinterest and gallery software
- Preparing Mailchimp for email blasts
- Updating and maintaining Squarespace website
The gallery is intimate and the intern will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with the gallery owner, who tailors intern responsibilities according to their interests and skill-set. Candidates should be available to interview and train as soon as possible. You can also apply for academic credits , but this is optional.
The intern must be available two days a week / weekend

The Robin Rice Gallery is a small, 34-year-old fine art and photography gallery. The gallery now exhibits fine art and photography in an alluring multi-room space that envelops your senses. The gallery represents established and emerging artists. Robin Rice is the curator, and a fine art photographer.
Qualifications:
- The intern will be well organized, detail-oriented, a quick learner and tech savvy
- Must be able to interact sociably and professionally with clients, artists and photographers, etc.
- Must be Mac proficient
- Basic Photoshop is needed
Training is provided prior to the official start day for the internship.The candidate should be available at least one or two days for training prior to the start of the internship.
